Martin & Paul on Myles Dnepr 650
Another day of waiting while the bikes are made ready. Unfortunately it looks like we will have a 2 day delay in starting the GSA.
Martin & I drove to the airfield to see progress with bikes this afternoon.
Martin's bike has clutch problem which may require pulling apart engine block.
Paul's bike running and seen to brake with wheel lockup when riden by Ukranian mechanic. Electrics now working. Awaiting front metal screen & windscreen.
Highlight of the day - a burn through Bila Tservka on Myles ( American team member , Lear jet/helicopter pilot with complete & running bike) Dnepr with 3 on board waving at the locals & trying to get a response! Myles bike handled 3 of us with minimal effort. As expected, minimal excitement from the local populace.
Current plan is to leave on Tuesday morning.
We will hopefully get to put some local kms on the bikes tommorrow.
Had to move hotels today - our new hotel has food menu no English translation - pot luck with ordering dinner.
Myles & Dan about to hit the streets - note American eagle on Myles bike.
Entrance to the bunker where bikes were worked on through winter
Hi there Paul and Martin. I have some good postie bikes available if you need something with more grunt and greater reliability. Hope you are having a great time. Happy mothers day!
